O, Lay Thy Loof In Mine, Lass

Chorus
O, lay thy loof in mine, lass,
In mine, lass, in mine, lass,
And swear on thy white hand, lass,
That thou wilt be my ain!
1.
A slave to Love's unbounded sway,
He aft has wrought me meikle wae;
But now he is my deadly fae,
Unless thou be my ain.
2.
There's monie a lass has broke my rest,
That for a blink I hae lo'ed best;
But thou art queen within my breast,
For ever to remain.

O, Lay Your Palm In Mine, Girl

Chorus
O, lay your palm in mine, girl,
In mine, girl, in mine, girl,
And swear on your white hand, girl,
And you will be my own!

A slave to Love's unbounded sway,
He often has worked me much woe;
But now he is my deadly foe,
Unless you be my own.

There is many a girl has broken my rest,
That for a glance I have loved best;
But you are queen within my breast,
For ever to remain.
