In the week leading up to the festival, Burns Country will be alive with dozens of Fringe events. Organised by dedicated local groups and individuals, the Burns and a' that Fringe is a real celebration of life.

Burns Cottage & Museum Burns Cottage - Master Thatcher at work -
April and early May, weather permitting Jeremy Cox, master thatcher, will be demonstrating his centuries-old art as he re-thatches Burns Cottage in Alloway the birthplace of Robert Burns. Calum Colvin, one of Scotland's foremost contemporary artists will be installing a new three-dimensional portrait of Robert Burns in Burns Cottage Museum first seen as part of a series of portraits of Scotland's great writers by Canongate Books.

Robert Burns Masterclasses
Duration of the Festival A series of masterclasses', run by the Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs, ranging from walks to instructions on how to run a Burns Supper to analysis and interpretation of work.
